Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Nekst Co ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use FilePruf, a proof-of-existence service for files.
1. Data We Process
FilePruf is designed to keep your original files private. Files selected in the browser are hashed locally where supported, and only the resulting cryptographic fingerprint and proof metadata are sent to the service.
- Proof metadata: SHA-256 hashes, filenames, content types, file sizes, destination choices, timestamps, proof identifiers, and transaction references.
- Account information: Email addresses, password authentication records, verification status, and account activity needed to operate sign-in features.
- Operational data: IP address, user agent, audit events, error details, and other logs needed for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
2. How We Use Data
We use data to create, store, verify, and administer cryptographic proof records. We may also use operational data to maintain service reliability, secure accounts, investigate abuse, and provide support.
We do not sell proof records, account data, or operational logs to third parties.
3. File Privacy
Your original files are not intentionally uploaded for proof creation. FilePruf records the hash and related proof metadata, not the file contents. You remain responsible for confirming that your browser and network environment are suitable for the material you choose to hash.
4. Data Sharing
We share data only where needed to operate FilePruf, comply with law, or complete requested anchoring workflows.
- Blockchain networks and explorers: Hash-derived proof messages or transaction identifiers may become public and permanent when anchored.
- Infrastructure providers: Hosting, database, email, logging, and security vendors may process limited data under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or valid government request.
5. Data Storage and Retention
We retain proof metadata for as long as needed to provide verification records and maintain auditability. Account and operational records are retained while required for service operation, security, legal compliance, and legitimate business purposes.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted transport, access controls, audit logging, and server-side handling of private keys and broadcaster credentials. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Choices
You may choose not to submit a proof, may use local/offline development modes where available, and may contact us about account or privacy requests. Blockchain records that have already been broadcast may not be removable because public chains are designed to be permanent.
